Let me start by saying this was a decent story w/some light BDSM elements & many of the situations were interesting & drew you in. However, most of the story is depressing w/a very indecisive h who is quick to accuse w/out all the facts. Add that to a 350 page book that's a CLIFFHANGER w/ TWO MORE BOOKS of almost 500 & 300 pages to conclude! No one, & I mean NO ONE, needs over 1000 pages to tell the story of one couple. Other people in the story, yes, but after reading 300+ pages, I want an ending w/the option to read more about other characters & not forced to do it.Will I read the 2nd & 3rd book, absolutely not... even if I find them free. Will I read any more stories CD Reiss, I don't think so. Be wary if you read this book, it's a commitment to read another 800+ pages of depression. Monica has remained as one of my favorite heroines, she is fierce and never loses sight of who she is and what she wants. Jonathan intrigued me then won me over in my original reading of the series, but I have to say that knowing how this series plays out, seeing him during moments in this sequence moved me beyond words at times.If you have not yet discovered this series or if it has been collecting dust on your to be read list for the last year; you need to change that. Immediately. I was fresh off my high from discovering a whole new world of books after Fifty Shades of Grey when I stumbled across this series last year. And although FSOG will always be the book that opened my eyes to this world; SOS was the series that took me to new heights.
